U.S. Embassy: English Club & Media Interview in Vladivostok

As the last educational and cultural outreach, Koyamada concluded with over 150 local Vladivostok residents who were excited about participating the English Club to improve their English skills and socialize with their classmates. The English Club is organized by the U.S. Consulate General in Vladivostok and free for anyone to attend the event.

Koyamada briefly shared his experience learning English when he just moved to Los Angeles in 2000 and how he improved his English while pursuing his dreams in Hollywood. The audience were thrilled to hear his personal story with challenges and success he has had in the past 20 years in the United States and other countries.

With that last outreach at the English Club, he completed a total of 8 different lectures engaging with over 2,000 youth and community leaders in five different major cities such as Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok across the big and wide Russian continent. The feedback from the audience was all positive and amazing in all cities.

Koyamada says, "This was an extraordinary experience for me to visit all these places and meet amazing people from different communities and talk to them directly face to face. I also learned a lot from them as well. I have to say it was a bit challenging hopping one city to another with a big time difference within Russia in the coldest time of the year and successfully delivering all of my lectures!"

Koyamada adds, "I'd like to thank the U.S. Embassy and Consulate officials and other local Russian workers and volunteers who worked very hard on planning this tour and inviting me to speak to Russian youth! I'm excited to continue my efforts with my team at KIF Russia!"
