GIRLS & WOMEN

OVERVIEW

We are committed to achieving gender equality by advancing girls and women's empowerment and leadership in partnerships with United Nations agencies and other international NGOs. In 2019, we officially partnered with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to advance gender equality and combat Gender-Based Violence (GBV) globally through sports and martial arts training. Co-founder Nia Lyte is a TED Talk Speaker and advocate for women's rights, empowerment and leadership and gender equality. She has spoken before thousands of girls and women leaders for international organizations at the U.N. Headquarters in New York as well as schools in different countries.

GIRLS & WOMEN

INITIATIVE

Together with our global partner United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Guardian Girls™ aims to empower girls and young women to defend themselves from all forms of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through martial arts training. Martial arts can play a critical role in preventing GBV. It can impart self-defense skills and enable women to avoid, interrupt, and resist assault.
