HABITAT
OVERVIEW
At KIF Global, we have created two important habitat initiatives: 1) Amazon Habitat to save the world's largest tropical forest and and support the indigenous people in the Amazon rainforest, and 2) Safari Habitat to protect and promote the world's most famous fauna and indigenous community in Africa. Our initiatives are implemented nationally and locally by our National Chapters in South America and Africa and overseen by KIF Africa and KIF South America Committees at the global level.

HABITAT
OUR STORY
We first traveled to the Amazon rainforest, the world's largest rainforest, in Leticia where Colombia, Peru and Brazil meet, to explore and observe enormous variety of animal and plant species and reach different indigenous communities and nature reserves. In Leticia, we had an unique thrilling experience of accessing three countries by just walking and taking a small boat on the Amazon River, sleeping in the middle of the jungle in a rustic treehouse, getting on zip lines run between massive trees, having hands-on experience of the indigenous way of life and sighting wild animals.
HABITAT
INITIATIVE
Amazon Habitat is a wildlife and rainforest conservation initiative to save the world's largest tropical forest and its biodiversity, as well as support indigenous people who live in the jungle in South America. The Jungle includes territory belonging to nine countries. The initiative is administered by the KIF South America comprised of the national chapters in the region.
