A Boot Camp with the U.S. Marines: Learn About the Marine

Hosted by the American Embassy in Tokyo, in collaboration with JAZ (a Japanese student group) and KIF Tokyo, Koyamada's final event “A Boot Camp with the U.S. Marine & Learn About the Marine” was held at the U.S. Embassy Tokyo Housing Compound and attended by 50 university men and women students in Tokyo, Japan.

The boot camp was under the instruction of U.S. Marine solders where the group of students underwent hard physical training that included sit-ups, push-ups, sprints, kickboxing and other basic fitness training routines used by the Marines.

Although many students were nervous, everyone eagerly participated and seemed to enjoy the rare experience of training with the real U.S. Marines. Sore muscles and exhaustion that comes with this sort of disciplined training and fitness routines that these students don't normally do during their typical Japanese lives, marked each student with a positive page in their life's memories.
