A Career Education Lecture At A Elementary School
After the English book reading for the elementary school students, Shin Koyamada and his KIF Okinawa team proceeded to an auditorium several blocks from the school. He then presented a "Career Education" lecture to over 200 middle school students from Onna Son Elementary and Middle School and other local middle schools. Other guests included the Director of the Onna Son Board of Education, Middle School principles and teachers, and reporters from the Okinawa Times and Ryukyu Shimpo newspapers.
The middle school principle's opening remarks to welcome Koyamada, KIF Okinawa and other guests, was followed by a 40-minute lecture and a 30-minute Q&A session by Koyamada. He spoke about what inspired him to pursue his dream of acting in Hollywood, what he did during middle and high school to prepare him for the dream and shared his personal experiences on studying in the language school and the colleges he attended while living in the US.
A 12-year-old student blurted that it will take tremendous effort to accomplish such a dream and that he must now begin to seriously think about his future.
The students were very excited and pleased to meet Koyamada and listen to his success story about achieving his dream. They were inspired to study English and to start thinking about their future goals and aims
